Cricket gear for Rwanda
Date of Event : Wed Apr 25, 2018 10:42AM

Thornbury Turf Strokers player Michael Hargreaves is moving to Rwanda in June 2019 and aims to set up a rural cricket club there. He is seeking donations of spare cricket equipment from MCA clubs and players for the project.

Michael says, "My plan is to provide cricket equipment for a community in Rwanda, to use cricket as a social good for a country that needs to heal having an extraordinary history. Having had discussions in the Rwandan Cricket Association, working with government getting the use of land for a field is looking promising. What I'm trying to do while in Australia is collect enough good equipment."

Michael is using the website https://rwandancricketclub.wordpress.com/ to advertise the venture and collect gear. If you can help with a donation, please email him at michaelrhargreaves@gmail.com and he will arrange to collect it.
