An unbeaten 110 by opener Travis Fidock has powered the MCA Under-21s to a comfortable win over the MCA Over-40s.

The Veterans compiled a testing 4-208 in their 45 overs, with all of the top order firing. Openers Aldo Lagona (28) and Alec Kahn (33) saw off the accurate new ball attack of Luke Stow and Tom Cheyne to reach 1-83 at drinks. Steve Sandri (35), John Mariadason (51) and Paul Huxley (33*) stepped up the pace. Quicks Ishan Gunawardena (2-44) and Nik Sirko (1-25) made sure the target didn't get out of hand.

The Under-21s lost an early wicket before Fidock and Raghav Sabharwhal (39) got the innings rolling with an 82-run stand in just 15 overs. Fidock's placement was superb, and he punished the Veterans severely for three missed chances. A quick wicket made it 3-90, but Fidock found a solid partner in EMT team-mate Lachie Carter (50). The pair added 121 at a run a ball to see their side home, finishing at 4-211.
